Michael Ford, a native of Augusta has made North Augusta his home since 2000. He graduated from Augusta State University with a degree in Criminal Justice and Piedmont Technical College with a degree in Funeral Service. In addition to being a contract embalmer for several area funeral homes, he also serves as a part-time instructor of Funeral Service and Embalming at Piedmont Tech.

Michael is active in the community. He is a member of First Baptist Church of North Augusta as well as the North Augusta Lions Club where he has served two terms as President (2010-2012). He is active in the North Augusta Chamber of Commerce, serving as an ambassador, and was a graduate of the 2011 class of Leadership North Augusta. His respect and admiration for Emergency Service Personnel led him to become a Volunteer Firefighter with the North Augusta Department of Public Safety.

In October 2008, Michael married Miriam Lee Rowland, a graduate of Clemson University and Cambridge College. She is a first grade teacher in Augusta. In August 2011, they became the proud parents of a daughter, Ella Kaye. In his spare time, Michael enjoys playing golf, going to Clarks Hill and spending time with his family and friends.
